World Fast Against Malaria
The first Fast Against Malaria day was held on 11th May 2006, the second on 10th
May 2007 and the third was on 17 October 2008 (World Poverty Day).
... but you can still fast - on any day you chose - and join in. Please fast for one day!
The deal
- You don't eat from 9am - 6pm for one day
- You make a donation via the link below
The day
- A day you chose! You can fast at any time. Please chose a day and join in!
The result
- 100% of the money raised buys bednets
- They will end up over heads and beds
- We will demonstrate that has happened
- You come back to this site and we will tell you where the nets bought with funds
raised have been distributed and by whom.
Why we are doing this
- Because malaria is the world's single largest killer of children
- The equivalent of 7 jumbo jets full of children die every day from malaria. Today,
tomorrow, the next day...
- A mosquito net is the most effective form of prevention
- A net costs US$5
- Every 20 nets installed equate to one life saved
- We help eliminate malaria FASTER
